(July 2014) Neumann & Turnour Lawyers are pleased to announce that Steve Potts has been appointed as Managing Director from 1 July 2014.
Steve joined Neumann and Turnour in 2003 while completing the final year of his university studies. Upon graduation he undertook 2 years articled clerkship to Shayne Neumann before being admitted as a solicitor in 2006. In 2007 he was appointed as a Director of Neumann & Turnour. With Shayne’s election to the Australian Federal Parliament in 2007, Stephen assumed the role of head of the Family Law section. Over the last 11 years he has had first-hand experience of just about every task undertaken in a law firm. In 2013, as part of our plans to prepare the firm for the future, Steve travelled to Boston to attend the Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program for Leading Professional Services Firms. Over the last year we have been steadily implementing some of the ideas from that course across the firm and 1 July 2014 marks the next phase of that transition.
We are thankful for the wonderful contribution made by Matthew Turnour over the last 20 years he has been Managing Director. Matthew has steered Neumann & Turnour to where we are today and he continues on as both a Director and as Chairman. Matthew is looking forward to spending more time focussed on serving his clients and training the next generation of solicitors now that he has been released from all the administration.
As a firm we remain committed to providing quality legal advice in the most timely and cost-effective manner to deliver the best possible outcome for our clients. To find out more about Steve, Matthew and the rest of our team, we invite you to view the profiles of our team.
